Migo is looking for a Back-end Developer who will be responsible for development of entire back end of a cloud service, which includes core application logic, databases, data and application integration, API, and other processes taking place behind the scenes. You will also be working with other passionate people within the team.
Responsibilities:
• Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop/server clients.
• Design, manage, optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
• Optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Also work with full-stack developer if present.
• Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing.
• Define metrics, and work with data engineers ensuring desired data has the means to be collected.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Support as L2 or L3 on product issues.
Requirements:
• Degree in computer science or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience as back-end developer.
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs, specifically for mobile apps.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).
• Hands on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python.
• Working knowledge of CMS framework.
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
